Building a Custom Mauser, Part Two

Surplus Mausers are still great for customization. In this second issue of the series we’ll take care of the bolt handle, bolt lugs and drill and tap for scope mounting.

Last time, we separated our Mauser action from its old military barrel and finished polishing it to our satisfaction. If we are using Weaver-type scope mounts the rear receiver ring has been ground down and shaped to accept them. Let’s proceed to the next steps on my list.
