Don’t think of this purely Yankee-made rifle as yet another run-of-the-mill AK-47. Despite its Kalashnikov roots, the Century Arms Centurion is a great example of the modern sporting rifles.

May I be so bold as to offer a simple, easily-understood-by-anyone definition of an assault rifle? With your permission, then: An assault rifle is a military or law enforcement shoulder weapon with a rifled barrel and capable of fully automatic fire. Period. The U.S. M14, M16 and the AK47 fall within that classification along with a multitude of other selective fire weapons. No sporting rifle can or does.
