Finding a Picatinny scope base for older Savage Model 112 single shot rifles was difficult until I came upon Evolution Gun Works.

I had three Savage Model 112 rifles to mount scopes on, one long action and two medium actions. All three are older single shots and very accurate as target and varmint rifles. Earlier I had attempted to mount two-piece bases on one of the medium action rifles and couldn’t reach reticle optical center until I milled 0.050 inch from the flat, rear base. While the problem may have been with the actions produced at that time it was real and had to be dealt with. This required fitting both bases with bedding material to attain coaxial ring alignment.
